think ～overで「～について熟慮する」という意味なので、I'll think it over.は、相手からの依頼や提案などにその場で決断をせず「それについてよく考えさせてください」と相手に伝えるときに使うフレーズになります。似た表現の I’ll think about it.は「考えておくね」とは言ってはいますが、心の中ではほぼ『NO』と思っている感じで、I’ll think it over.の方は《よく考える》になっているので多少は『YES』の可能性が高くなります。Sounds like a good idea. 「それ良さそうじゃん」などと文頭に付けて言うと、もっと可能性が高い感じが相手に伝わります。
